Meet The Board

Rose Marie Beauchemin-Verzella President & Executive Director

I would first like to thank Dr. Zwerling for this appointment to lead the American Academy of Micropigmentation. I am humbled and honored and looking forward to fulfilling this roll with pride and commitment.

I also want to deeply thank all of you that sent your congratulations and well-wishes to me. They touched me, deeply and I feel privileged to have you as colleagues.

For those of us who haven't met, I am Rose Marie Beauchemin, newly appointed president of the AAM and president of Beau Institute of Permanent and Corrective Cosmetics, in NJ. My focus and passion for more than 25 years in this exciting profession has been education. Teaching and supporting permanent makeup artists allows them the same pleasure and gratification that I experience every day in my work. This has always been my goal.

I am a firm believer that no one achieves success all by themselves! I certainly didn't. I was fortunate enough to have the late Patti Pavlik, a tattoo artist that taught me techniques and Dr. Zwerling and Dr. Goldstein who answered medical questions and taught me the risks. Dr. Dixon, who developed the industry's first effective, over-the-counter permanent makeup topical anesthetics, made procedures more tolerable, allowing our practices to flourish. I was blessed to work with highly skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeons from day one, but I still needed tattoo information. These were my mentors and I will be eternally grateful.

My gratitude is also extended to a tremendous staff and team of administrators, trainers and practitioners that have supported and grown Beau Institute and will now support and grow the AAM.

Presently, my appreciation has a new dimension. My thanks goes to a most knowledgeable, successful and motivated Board of Directors of the AAM. This professional board along with me is committed to leading you into a new realm with fresh information and inspiration that will stimulate your passion for this profession.

We are excited to announce our upcoming AAM conference, in Orlando, May 20th and 21st, 2017. Please save the date. We plan to have many, many vendors where you, as professionals will get to see the future in permanent makeup and microblading. You will also be receiving the NEW, AAM News. This fresh and informative publication will be filled with valuable articles written by a diverse selection of professionals.

I would also like to introduce to you our new, AAM Board of Directors. Their credentials are impressive and their creativity, boundless.
